Just your typical Monday afternoon dog story:
Pawley loves to chase tennis balls into the pond on my parents’ farm. Rosie loves to bark. So, they have a routine in which I throw the ball and they run together to the end of the dock. Then, Pawley makes the leap and Rosie stops on the side and barks at Pawley the entire time, hurrying back up the dock as she swims next to it and barking at her in the water. She’s like the world’s shortest—and most obnoxiously loud—swim coach.
