Maria, who works in my office, is from Puerto Rico. Today, she literally ran into my office saying that her husband had had a heart attack and the ambulance was taking him to the hospital, but before she left she wanted to give me the list she’d made of the things I should do while in Puerto Rico. In case you’re wondering, it’s kind of surreal to have a conversation with someone about tropical vacations when their husband is on the way to the ER.  But I do love this list. Because it includes instructions like “go to the casinos” and drink pina coladas “with rum” and an entire section labeled “Junk Food.” Maria really gets me.

  2. pinkseersucker said: this is awesome! If you can swing it, have dinner at Marmalade. Also, I loved the atmosphere AND food at the tapas bar at the El Convento Hotel, it’s an old convent! Enjoy!!!
